Praise God 17 new Central Asian believers enroll at the Eurasian Mission College in Kazan for the start of a new academic year.

Students are drawn from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, and parts of Russia.

We thank our Heavenly Father for these 17 believers who have been given the wonderful privilege and opportunity to study God’s word together for a year to grow in their understanding and faith in the Lord Jesus.

Sadly, one Uzbek student had all his necessary paperwork and flight ticket ready to travel to the college, but was prevented from travelling by his Muslim relatives.  A reminder of the realities of what these followers of Jesus Christ face in their lives.   Please pray, if the Lord wills, this student may yet somehow have the opportunity to study at the College.

Please earnestly pray for all the new students, as most of them find themselves living in a different country, and for some, quite a contrasting culture to their homeland.  Also, living together with a group of people they have not met before, and for some a formal and regimented education and training programme will be a new experience.  For various reasons then, they very much need our prayers, that they will settle in, build good relationships, and cope with the sustained periods of study.
