Post-Brexit: Monetary Support sent to Kazan College in affect reduced by 30%
Brexit – a topic of much debate and conversation, dividing our country down the middle. Well, whatever our personal opinions maybe, the impact for Eurasian Ministries was significant – as the image above portrays. Hit by the ‘double whammy’ of a weaker pound and a stronger Russian Ruble – we found that the monetary support we sent to the college had in affect reduced by 30%. This left us, as at Jan 1 2017 with a £40,000 shortfall.
We committed this matter to the Lord in prayer.
During Q1, some extra generous gifts reduced the shortfall to just under £22,000. At Easter time we made all our supporters fully aware of the on-going financial situation we face with the weaker pound and the stronger Russian Ruble.
‘And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus’ (Phil 4 v 19).
Praise God! By the end of May, we had fully cleared the shortfall. We were humbled and so encouraged by the warm-hearted and generous response we received.
‘Now may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you’ (2 Sam 2 v 6).
